Soy sauce for Ice Cream from Yamato

Mismatched combinations have been the theme of more than a few hit items recently. Examples include Nissin’s Milk Seafood Cup Noodles, Lotteria’s gourmet hamburger targeted towards discerning lunching OLs, and last fall’s must read/see “Homeless Junior High School Student.” Following this trend, we expect that Yamato Soy Sauce’s “Soy Sauce for Ice Cream” to be a big seller this summer.

Thick like caramel sauce, this dark brown salty soy sauce syrup is designed to enhance the flavor and appearance of white ice cream. Yamato Soy Sauce, a respected name since its founding in 1911, shows off its hipness by pointing out that the sauce not only goes well with other traditional sweets but with the trendy moffle as well.
