God-Cleaner for cleaning feet, not Gods

Written by: Michael Keferl on December 4, 2007 at 1:36 am | In DIGITAL LIFE, MARKETING IDEAS |

Christ may have washed the feet of his disciples, but who’s to return the favor? Enter God-Cleaner, the revolutionary (?) system for not only clean feet, but a clean body. Basically, it’s a footbath detox system (with dubious claims) like many others on the internet these days. We spotted this ad out on a sidewalk near Ebisu Station.

The God-Cleaner claims to clean your body through your feet by ionizing the water to “draw out” the toxins from your body. The brown water is the proof…unless it’s actually caused by corrosion of the electrodes used for ionization (likely). That, and the fact that (as far as I know) you can’t excrete toxins through your skin.

Of course, we were far more interested in the funny ad than anything. We still take normal baths around here.

  1. Interesting gadget, indeed, one that papears to be too good to be true but, Michael Keferl, do some research (a simple Google query will do) before you make an ass of yourself by claiming the “fact” of the body’s inability to excrete toxins through the skin.

  5. God-Cleaner: because gods have feet too?…

Presumably - in fact, hopefully - a reference to Biblical footwashing, the God-Cleaner is a dubious gadget that claims to detox the feet. Not dissimilar from your standard Schollesque footbath, it also turns water into wine. Well, icky foot wine, any…

  6. I’ve seen this done in health stores in the US, but they added some sort of untethered ball in the bath. No power was used.
