Ani-Light from Takara Tomy projects a moving ocean at home
Written by: Michael Keferl on August 10, 2007 at 6:12 pm | In DIGITAL LIFE |Not yet released (or even formally announced) the Ani-Light (アニーライト) from Takara Tomy is a two-way home lifestyle light that projects animation onto your ceiling. The result is an animated aquarium with swimming fish, dolphins, and other ocean creatures. Like the Private Ocean from Sega Toys, there’s a function where the swimming animals join together to form the time before dispersing back into the currents. When the top is closed, you get the exact same animation projected internally onto the bubble front.

This exclusive picture is of their prototype, and we’re waiting for a formal announcement to truly check it out. We were able to get a glance of the Ani-Light in action, but were not allowed to shoot video. However, from what we saw, the light is very bright and the animation smooth and clear.
